NEW E.C.REGULATIONS FOR PU BASED PRODUCTS:  From 27th December 2010, there will be new E.C. regulations in relation to sales of polyurethane based products that contain a chemical called MDI.  Products affected  include polyurethane based expanding Foams and adhesives sold within the E.C. where the MDI content is over 0.1% 

A summary of the rules follows:-

All polyurethane based expanding foams and adhesives must include protective gloves on the pack when sold to the general public.

If gloves are not included within the pack, then the items must be sold only for professional use and labelled accordingly.

Three new risk phrases need to be included on labels for all polyurethane based products sold to the public, and in addition, for all products where the MDI content is greater than 1% the risk phrase "Limited Evidence of Carcinogenic Effect" needs to be included.
